From fiber processing to nonwovens, we help you specify, source, and commission the right equipment — no matter your fiber type or technology subset.

THE RIGHT TECHNOLOGY FOR YOU

Plant Fiber Technologies understand the global landscape of OEM's and technologies that empower any business in the natural fiber domain. Whether you plan to vertically integrate, or focus on specific sectors such as nonwoven, fiber molding, decortication, conversion, and more, leverage our contacts for your success.

NONWOVEN

Together we can unlock complete nonwoven lines from a variety of OEM's across the world. Whether airlay, pre-carding, carding, thermobonded, needle loomed, and more, we will design a line that meets your goals and importantly, your fiber type.

FIBER INJECTION

Fiber injection is the process of using natural fibers with our without synthetic fibers to form unique materials in a variety of geometries. Unlike nonwovens which generally produce flat or roll good materials, fiber injection can unlock challenging to manufacture materials.

DECORTICATION

Natural fibers often start with defribation, also known as decortication. This separates bast fibers from the stalks of hemp, flax, and other rapidly renewable crops. Even if you're working with regenerated materials like motes, regins, or textile shoddys, we can enhance your processability.

CONVERSION

Conversion is a critical step in advancing a nonwoven material into a finished product. Often this includes various steps ranging from resinating to compression molding. Conversion can enhance the value of nonwovens into new and exciting materials with applications in automotive, aerospace, and more.

PACKAGING

Handling efficiency is key in reducing overheads and reducing risk from injury of manufacturing employees. PFT can enhance existing nonwoven lines with completely automated end of line solutions, or can pursue a modular approach to automat components of end of line through robotics.

MOLDING

Molding is a step that can create a variety of products from fine fibers such as cellulose and pulp, which can be a core business activity or a use of byproducts from other steps in your manufacturing process, such as byproduct streams of decortication.

WASTE TO ENERGY

Working with natural fibers creates dust. Dust can be captured and turned from an expense and waste stream into energy. Through these processes, materials like biochar can even be created which lock and store Carbon, adding additional revenue streams

BALING

Any use of fibers often requires baling technology. Whether you are baling your own processed fibers, or using baled fibers into your process, nearly every application of natural fibers involves a baling press.

YOUR VISION.
OUR SUPPORT.

We're not an agent, we're independent. We won't sell you technology that wins us commission, we sell you technology that you need to succeed. Together, we'll understand your fiber supply chain, your intended applications, and guide you through technology scoping to RFP's, and ensure that you're getting exactly what you need.
